The Body Shop Color Crush Lipsticks

All brands seem to be coming out with these super creamy, super pigmented lipsticks that hydrate and give a satiny to high shine. Maybelline with their color sensational line, revlon with the color burst line to name a couple. This range from The Body Shop is along those lines.

The are packed in sleek silver tubes with a plastic lid depicting the color family they belong to and there are three: the pinks, the reds and the nudes. I was very curious to see if they pulled it off because my past experience with their lipsticks was not too good, one went off very soon and the other always needed a good amount of lip balm before applying.

Product:

• They are indeed moisturizing and the lighter shades could be used without using a mirror, they glide on well and no need for lip balm.
• The color is indeed quite intense. When they said these give 'pop' of color, they weren't kidding, especially since I went in straight for the red family. 
• The scent is of rose, but its subtle and with time disappears. 
• It is not very long lasting, it has to be reapplied quite often throughout the day. The consistency is very soft though. If you leave it in the car for e.g it will probably melt or at the very least get bent out of shape.

1. This looked more of a nude to me but I think its included in the red family due to its red undertones. We can say its a nude with a twist.

2. This is a warm red, which means it has some orange to it. Its high impact color and very bold...a fire engine red.

3. This is more cooler based red. Its easier to wear than the other red in my opinion. Since both these reds stain, they can be worn with just dotting it lightly onto the lips with your finger and this lasts a long time, blotting between thin layers helps longevity.

These are nice to add to your collection, the red family has some very bold and high impact colors whereas even the pinks and nudes also offer a wide variety of shades totaling to 24 in all.
