Modelco Face Base Skin Primer

My first primer ever. I can't forget while looking through a magazine, I saw this primer featured in and ad spread, further more a Modelco outlet was opening in Mall of the Emirates and they said things would be on a limited time offer sale.

The feature also said that this was the secret to the flawless skin you always saw on models but just could not recreate yourself (hello photoshop?) So this is the stuff that makes the magic I thought...I had not yet dipped my toes into the waters of primers...

But boy did I take the plunge...this is really amazing.

Price: About 150 dhs.

Packaging: Like your tube of toothpaste, except that its transparent and you can see the product- also transparent. Squeeze out as much as you want, though a drop is enough.

Product: Firstly just use your imagination to guess what this feels like, and that is probably bang on. The consistency is like a thick gel, like glycerin, except it doesn't feel wet. It is so spreadable and best applied with fingers, the warmth helps blend the product in. After applying it gives a slip to your skin, you'd think the foundation would slide right off. Which actually makes me think, not very good for oily skin. It should hold very well for dry to normal skins though..they say it suits all skin types but this is just my opinion.It is oil free. It filled in lines and pores, creating the most amazingly smooth skin. It has some skin benefits too being infused with Vitamins C and E. It definitely improves the wear time of foundation and since it effectively creates a fine barrier between skin and foundation, there is minimal to no oxidation of foundation (the reason why foundation turns orange on you after a while, or dull). The product has a glistening effect but this gets toned down depending on what foundation you are using, a full matte full coverage product will not let the dewy effect through. Love this product.
