Marsala 2015 Pantone Colour of the Year Makeup Picks

This year's colour is super awesome and one my favs in terms of makeup. It's a rustic wine shade. It looks amazing with medium to dark skin tones, but fair girls can pull it off too. It's festive, but toned down, it could also be used for everyday makeup. I just went through my stash and picked out a few of my wine/rustic hued makeup products that I just need to use more off (me being the neutral look kinda gal).

Blush Picks:

Lto R: Elf Blush Palette in Dark, Prestige Blush in Raffia, theBalm Instain Blush in Pinstripe and Lancome Blush Subtil in Rose Boise
All the above are highly pigmented, but personally the Instain Blush by theBalm is my favourite. Price wise nothing beats the Elf palette and you need a light hand with it. The last shade is so very fall! And the two shades on top are an added bonus. The blush by Prestige has a little pro with it having a little highlighter portion that you could apply with your fingers or swirl with the blush itself for a subtle glow.  The one by Lancome gives the most natural finish and ideal for everyday use.

Lip Products:

L to R: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush, Clinique Butter Shine Lipstick
in 407 Rum Kiss and OCC Lip Tar in Lydia

I really need to start using these more often. The first and last are long wearing formulas, whereas the butter shine lipstick is more glossy and hence does not have really long lasting power. But it soothes chapped lips and looks very smooth and soft.

Eye Products:

L to R: Sigma Warm Neutral Palette, Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette and Maybelline 24 hour Color Tattoo in
Pomegranate Punk

The Sigma Palette is one of my favourite all rounder type palettes and it has that one beautiful rustic shade, yeah you see it! The Revealed 2 Palette also has a few varying shades of wines and rust. This palette is also a dupe for the Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay. And what better way to make these pop and last all day than to use the all famous Color Tattoo underneath (or on its own).

I'd love to see your makeup picks falling into this color family. Hope you enjoyed mine.
