Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box o' Blushes

How can any makeup junkie pass this up? Reason? 6 of Benefit's famous boxed blushes, each of them around 2/3 of the original sized boxes for just a fraction of the total price. Let's face it, who actually goes through a whole blush? This palette gives us blush addicts the perfect opportunity to try out cult products without breaking the bank.

The cardboard box, the palette and a little pamphlet with tips and ingredients

Price: 169 dhs for 6 almost full sized blushes, a little watts up highlighter and a mini brush. A steal considering one of these blushes is close to 130 dhs.

Packaging: Not to my liking primarily because it is bulky and impractical to store. The palette is a tin box, the blushes do not detach but the highlighter does. The palette also has the red tiled roof, but this part of the box can be removed to make it slightly less difficult to handle. But it all becomes impervious when you look at the products inside. The little brush is so small, I don't think I'll be using it, or maybe to contour the sides of my nose. We'll see.

The plastic slip with the names, the highlighter and brush.

Product: I already have the Rockateur blush from benefit and that is absolutely gorgeous. It's like a dusky mauve but comes of slightly different on everyone, or so I have heard. Sadly, it is a repeat in the palette and the funny thing is that from all the blushes in this palette, this is the only one that is actually full sized since the Rockateur blush itself is slightly less in quantity that the other boxed blushes.

L to R: Dandelion, Bella Bamba, Sugarbomb, Coralista and Rackateur
Watt's Up and Hoola

Anyway, all the colours are indeed very pretty, but Sugarbomb I would use either as a topper over another blush or as a highlighter. They are very good quality, blendable and long lasting.

Dandelion is a light matte pink, Bella Bamba has been discontinued for some reason, and it is the one I am liking the most (after Rockateur). It is a deeper pink with a slight gold sheen. If you are a fan of this blush, this is probably the last time you'll see it. The most famous of them all is of course, Coralista, which I find to be the softest in texture and slightly brighter than Sugarbomb, at least on my skin tone.

These blushes are more fitted to light to medium skin tones, I don't think deeper tan complexions could get the payoff, but could use most of them as a highlighter. However, they are gorgeous as a sheer wash of colour or you could easily build them up.

The bronzer Hoola is a matte neutral brown that can easily be used as a contouring powder as well. And the highlighter Watt's Up is a pretty champagne shade that gives a subtle sheen.
