Dupe for Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette

It can't be argued that dropping about 6 to 7K Pak Rs. is not an easy task for most of us common folk. And so we turn to the cheaper versions that are out there, only are they really close enough to be called dupes?

Thanks to makeup bloggers and other beauty junkies out there, close enough alternatives to the more expensive products can be found on the click of a google search.

Bringing you a very good dupe for the Naked Palette 3- Makeup Revolution's Iconic Palette 3...

Read on for swatches and other details...

Price: At only 950 Rs., it is at a fraction of the price of the original.

Product:

That's the Makeup Revolution palette on the top and the Naked 3 palette at the bottom.

Let's take them apart shadow by shadow, all the swatches on the left are from the Naked 3 palette and the one on the right is from the Iconic 3 palette. The names of the shadows in the Urban Decay palette are named, but there are no names or numbers in the Iconic Palette.

1. STRANGE:

Strange is a highlight shade- matte. As you can see, they are pretty close to each other, even in term of consistency, I just had to build the right sided swatch up a tad. It has ever the slightest hint of yellow undertones.

2. DUST:

Very appropriately named, this is my least favorite shade in the Naked 3 Palette. It's chalky, very shimmery and the Iconic Palette has nailed it perfectly.

3. BURNOUT:

Burnout is a soft pink, very nice for the lid or to soften the crease, and again I must say, that apart from having to build the one from the Iconic palette slightly more, they are pretty much the same.

4. LIMIT

Limit is a matte, primarily an excellent crease colour. The dupe is ever so slightly less 'pinker' but close enough.
The consistency is the same.

5. BUZZ

A soft shimmery satiny pink, one of the loveliest shades in the Naked 3 palette, but it requires some work to build up, the dupe requires even more work, but the end result is almost the same.

6. TRICK

The only shade in the Naked palette that is less pigmented and intense than its dupe. I love this shade as a highlight for the eye lid. Just dab it in the center of the lid for a lovely 3D effect.

7. NOONER

Very popular matte crease colour, but I just smudge it on my eye lid for soft smoky look. The dupe is slightly less intense, but with a primer, it can be built up even more.

8. LIAR

Exactly the same. Period.

9. FACTORY

A lovely dusky bronze shade, the dupe has a slightly warm undertone compared to the former. Really needs to be built up too.

10. MUGSHOT

This shade, again shimmery and great for achieving a single shade smoky eye, reminds me a lot of MAC's Satin Taupe. The Iconic palette's version is almost indistinguishable.

11. DARKSIDE

It's like the last few shades just get darker and darker, but the pink/purple undertones are consistent. This is the one shade whose dupe is not that great... the only one disappointment.

12. BLACKHEART

Easily the champion of the entire palette, Blackheart is a gorgeous deep purple with pink and golden microglitters. The Iconic palette has tried to create something close, and I guess it is close enough, just a tad less shimmer (good for some people)  and again, needs to be built up.

All in all, for the price, it's a very VERY good alternative. If you are getting into makeup, or if you have been eyeballing the Naked 3 palette but couldn't afford it, you may as well pick this dupe up!

Makeup Revolution palettes are available ONLINE in Pakistan.
