I should have taken pictures, but I was skeptical. So I went ahead, in utter desperation, for there was no way my makeup brushes could be used without a deep and thorough cleansing. After a wonderful wedding in the family, (confession: quite a bit of brush sharing went on), my poor brushes were just begging to get all the gunk off, especially my slanted Sigma kabuki foundation brush (love love love).
My sis in law told me I should use her Beauty Blender Brush Cleanser. I looked at her and it with an one eyebrow up to my hairline. Really, a glorified bar of soap? This was going to give me pristine brushes, after trying every shampoo and makeup remover? Ah well, what had I to lose, things could not get any worse right?

Color Studio Professional Powder Brush
Brushes (tools) matter. They do. Found out through personal experience. Good news is, they don't necessarily have to be expensive to deliver on performance. Having said that, I am always on the lookout for a nice brush. You can pretty much imagine my excitement when my sister pointed out this sweet innocent looking stall at the mall the other day. She told me their brushes were well known, not expensive and very good quality. I was a little skeptic, and went up for closer inspection. As it dawned on me my sister was right, I turned around and gave her an accusatory look as if to say, "And you are telling me this just now... what is wrong with you girl?" There was a display on a vertical rack with all types of makeup brushes and nail art tools. Since I was already hunting for a good big powder brush, I picked up the one on display. The brand name is Color Studio Professional and is easily available here in Pakistan.

The Body Shop Face and Body Brush
I know it's been a while, but nevertheless I'm back again with another review, this time about one of my all time fav brushes.
I don't have much experience with MAC brushes, but I do have my fair share of Sigma brushes and some of the Real Technique brushes and both are wonderful, but as far as a powder brush is concerned, I relly like this one.

Which Brushes are on my Vanity?
So over time, my most loved and most convenient to use brushes have crept from the recesses of my drawer to the top of my vanity in a sleek little Real Techniques case. It has been touch and go with some being tossed back in, others making the rounds, but now, these are the ones that have been stuck for the past couple of months. I don't have them in a pretty mug or anything because I find that keeping them in this case is more convenient and they don't pick up as much dust or lint. Now I know this little case itself can be made into a stand like thing, but for the life of me I can not figure it out. No worries, I am happy with it as it is.
So which brushes am I really liking and using...
